More updates, but still no rc

Lots of work has happened since the last update. But we still do not have a release candidate. The major stumbling block is ticket 315, which causes a lot of grief.

Olympics are over, so is beta2.5

The Olympics in Vancouver are over, and the devs had some time left to mangle with a couple of bugs, and put out a new installer (2.6 for those who care).

Catch Up With Ubuntu

Another case of playing catch up. Due to updates of the Linux kernel package by Ubuntu, people who tried to install LinuxMCE lately, had lots of problems, especially with using Media Director. We have updated our kernel specific packages, and you should apt-get update and dist-upgrade your installation. Details what packages got updated can be found in the beta2 wiki page.
